The ending scene really got to me. When Sidney asked her not to think badly of him. She understood why he made the choice he did. This girl is crazy strong.
No. He wanted to feel better about himself. He didn't apologize for hurting her. Also, he lied about not loving Eliza, as he was supposed to be torn between the two! Charlotte was the young Lady Denham. The naive young girl, who fell for a handsome man and lost him to a woman with lots of money. Sidney was paying off his brother 's debts, as his brother had paid off his! It was ironic that he had travelled back to Antigua, to die. Did he need to go there, or had he had enough of Eliza? She couldn't have been happy, knowing that he had only married her to pay off his brother's debts. Even after his death, she was still having to do it! We never found out if they even had children! I'm sure that she would have wanted Sidney's children. I don't know why Charlotte would have wanted to go back to Sanditon! Non of her 'friends' came to visit her in Willingden. Mary only came after Sidney's death, presumably, without telling her husband. As Tom Parker did not even know that his brother was intending to marry her!

What makes it a billion times worse is that you know Sidney knows exactly how Charlotte feels because when he was in love the girl left him for someone with money and now he’s doing the same to Charlotte
Exactly 🥺 This story needs to continue. Specifically, Charlotte returned to where she started, only to break her heart. She won't believe in love anymore. Just like Georgiana.
What made it even worse was that the only person he could have gone to see, in London, was Eliza! He'd already failed to get anyone else to lend his brother money! Knowing that he was going to Eliza, why did he lead Charlotte on? He seemed happy enough when he was telling his family the 'good news'! His face dropped when he saw Charlotte! It was the same when he dumped Charlotte, after he saw Eliza, in London! He didn't even introduce them. He never went to meet Charlotte's family, prior to his 'intended' proposal and he never told his own family, either! Maybe, Georgiana was right about him all along. Also, her 'good friend', Mary, never went to comfort her. She must have known that Charlotte would have been heartbroken! In series 2, Charlotte is subjected to more of the same!! For someone who doesn't want to marry, she seems desperate - to marry! Only to a man with money will do, though!! This is so far from Jane Austen, as it possibly could be!
